Open communication, Honest, Reliable.

A wide variety of experience

Pink Sparky was created in 2016 by owner Amy FitzPatrick. With a strong set of company values such as open communication, customer satisfaction, and employee happiness, Pink Sparky is a small but ever expanding company, delivering a quality job, every time.

Amy started her electrical apprenticeship in 2004 in Cambridge where she gained a variety of residential, commercial, rural and industrial experience. Once qualified, Amy spent four years as a maintenance electrician at the Waikato Hospital further developing her electrical knowledge and skills. Then after completing months of commercial wiring, and maintenance work at the meat works, Amy worked for for an industrial electrical automation company, working on process measurement and control projects. Amy was bothered by the reputation of tradespeople within the industry and also the lack of women within the trade, so she set upon starting a company to turn that around.

Women in trades

We love seeing women and girls getting out there and giving construction trades a go. Completing a trade in the construction industry (electrical, building, plumbing... the list goes on!) is a real option for any woman wanting and willing to put in the hard work. At Pink Sparky, we will go out of our way to steer you in the right direction with any advice and guidance to get you into work that you'll love!
